Weekly review 2
My second weekly review (a little late due to life events, but still here!).
Key Questions
- What gave me energy this week? How can I make more time for those things?
- Cleaning and clearing the house and the areas where I work -> make more daily time for clearing/cleaning by following TOMM.
- Drinking enough water -> carry my bottle with me.
- What drained my energy this week? How can I reduce time spent on those things?
- Being around mess was still an energy drain, but the story of this week was really me getting on top of this.
- Emotional load -> Exercise, talking, clearing my head with lists (define done and next action).
- What was my biggest win of the week?
- Maintaining my readwise/mandarin/duolingo streaks through busy days
- What was my biggest struggle of the week?
- Again, the emotional load. But having people and books and systems that support me helped.
- Did my actions align with my long-term goals?
- In the last day or so? Yes. Before that? No.
- Any other milestones or events this week?
- Not this week.
- What did I read and learn this week?
I’m re-reading Getting Things Done by David Allen, and planning to actually finish and implement it this time. The irony of never having finished a book called Getting Things Done is not lost on me.
Plan for next week?
- Goals for the next 7 days
Offload my mental burden into trusted systems. Bring some structure, organisation and cleanliness to my life.
- Any extra notes
I think I’ve done well this week given the circumstances, and I look forward to getting back to the gym soon!
